1. Our commitment to security
We treat the information visitors submit through this site — names, contact details, donation records, messages — as data we hold in trust. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
2. SSL / TLS encryption
Every page of this site is served over HTTPS, which means the connection between your browser and our servers is encrypted using current TLS standards. Form submissions, donations, and any account interactions all travel over that encrypted channel.
3. Browsing securely
You can verify the connection by looking for "https://" at the start of the URL and the lock icon next to it in your browser’s address bar. If either is missing, or appears with a warning, please do not submit sensitive information until you can confirm the connection is secure.
4. Information collection and protection
We only collect information you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical metadata required to operate the site. Once received, your data is stored in a managed database with role-based access; only campaign staff with a legitimate operational need can read it, and IP addresses are hashed before storage.
5. Payment processing
Donations are handled by a regulated third-party payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or expiration date on our servers — those fields are handled entirely on the payment provider’s PCI-compliant infrastructure.
6. User responsibility
Security is a partnership. We strongly recommend keeping your device’s operating system and browser up to date, using a strong unique password for any account you create with us, and avoiding sensitive submissions from a public or unfamiliar Wi-Fi network.
7. Security incident response
If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information submitted to this site, we will investigate, take reasonable steps to contain the incident, and notify affected individuals in the manner and within the timeframes required by Florida law. To report a suspected vulnerability, write to [email protected].
8. Questions about this policy
Reach out to [email protected] with any questions, vulnerability reports, or concerns about how we are protecting your information.
